Reporting a problem with an app
- Which app, and which agency or project you were working in.
- What you were doing, in your own words, and what you expected instead.
- The date and time it happened, with your time zone, to the minute. This is how we find the matching server log, and it is the difference between a fix and a guess.
- A screenshot helps — have a look at what is in frame before you attach it.
- How badly it's affecting you: blocking your work, usable but wrong, or just a cosmetic glitch.
Reporting a problem with an R package
- The package name, and its version from
packageVersion()— for examplepackageVersion("spdgt.ipm")if that is the package involved. - The output of
sessionInfo(). - A small example that goes wrong, built with reprex from example or synthetic data.
- How badly it's affecting you: blocking your work, usable but wrong, or just a cosmetic glitch.
Reporting a documentation problem
- The address of the page, and what it says versus what it should say.
